Special Invitation - A New Twist on Lead Exchange Groups  

If you are involved in Business Development in any way it is very likely you have been involved in a leads exchange group in one form or another.  The concept is a great one.  After all, who isn't looking for a few more customers or clients?

 

Perhaps you joined the local Chamber of Commerce and participated in some of the less formal "Business After Hours" events that are so common.

 

Maybe you took a more formal approach and went so far as laying down the $400 annual fee and the $20/week to join your local Chapter of BNI.

 

Despite my instincts, over and over again I have attempted to make these activities work.  If you know me at all, you are sure to have heard my rant on why I don't like the BNI model. 

 

Again, I will repeat, the concept is great, but the execution is often flawed.   I hear you! I hear you! "BNI has always worked for me!"  "I love BNI You just don't know how to make it work for you."   Well, that is probably true.  If it works for you, that's great.  (Note: You're still welcome to join my group.)

 

For the last year or so I have been trying to improve upon the BNI model - To develop a system that not only gives me the occasional new client, but also encourages and motivates me to take my entire business to new heights.

 

Well I have found a solution that I think might work.

I know there are still some kinks to work out.

What do you think? 

 

Here's how it will work.  For every deal you bring to me that closes, I will give you 25% of my net commissions (after taxes and expenses) on the signing bonus portion of the deal.

 

So what kind of money are we talking about?

 

Let's use my last two deals for illustration.

 

The very last deal I signed netted me a grand total of $144.00.  If you had referred that deal to me I would have handed you $144 x 25% or $36.00 not bad.  (This was a small local restaurant doing about $120,000 per year in MC/Visa volume)

 

The deal before that was a large Hotel in downtown Boston.  They processed approximately $4 Million/year in MC/Visa transactions.  My net commission on that deal was approximately $2,200.00.  If you had referred me to that deal I would have handed you a big fat IOU for $550.00 Just Kidding!

 

These are the facts.  Customer acquisition is my biggest expense, and quite frankly, my biggest time waster.  The amount of time, money and frustration that goes into acquiring a new client can far outweigh even the $550 dollars I would be giving you.  Plus I just made an easy $1,650.00

 

The best part for you is that it is free to participate.  There are no weekly meetings, in fact there are no meetings at all.  There are no forms to fill out, I don't need references, no interview in front of some self-imposed "Executive" Board, no training classes required before you can be taken seriously, and I could care less what time you get out of bed, and how often you participate.
