It's Not Enough to Be Happy
My goal in life is not to seek out happiness for happiness sake. If that were the case I would just sit home and eat ice cream all day with my wife and kids. I want more than happiness. I want fulfillment. I want my life to have purpose and meaning.
It's not enough to be in Service to Others
We must find happiness in service to others, but the truth is no one person meant to serve everyone. Even the greatest leaders of all time (Ghandi; Martin Luther King, Jr; Abraham Lincoln; etc) were not meant to serve every one. I find that I am most energized and inspired when I work with Small Business Owners, and Underprivileged Children with Special Needs.
It's Not Enough to Have Core Values
Discovering the things in life that you value is one of the most worthwhile endeavors you can ever embark upon. It's unfortunate how few people take the time to even consider this. However, knowing what I value is not going to bring Fulfillment and Joy unless I actively seek out opportunities to experience and expose myself to them.
Here is an example of some of my core values (taken from my Master Plan)

So what does all this mean to you?
